Salt Peanuts - Jazz and Blues band
Salt Peanuts perform a range of Jazz and Blues Funky Grooves and modern standards - from Herbie Hancock, Brand New Heavies, Coltrane, Bobby Hebb, Cannonball Adderley and more.
Salt Peanuts feature a dynamic trio core of Carolyn Evans, Iain Elliot and Tom Fisher - with guest musician to spice things up - the Midlands’ hottest soloists, including Jules Benjamin/Joe Masterson on keys, Jay Riley on sax/keys, Loz Ruston on guitar. A pic ’n’ mix of great musicians playing great sounds.
Carolyn Evans (alto and soprano saxophone) - Loz Ruston Quartet (Cheltenham Jazz 2022), funk band Juiced (Massive Attack producer John Waterhouse); Big Blues Tribe (British Blues award nominees), and Boperator Boogie Band (Brum Jazz Fest).
Iain Elliot (bass) - Loz Ruston Quartet (Cheltenham Jazz 2022), Nick Holmes, Worcester-based Rose Hannant, and a slew of London bands/session musicians.
Tom Fisher (drums) - Tom has been playing drums for far longer than he cares to admit. He’s played with jazz trios up to an 18 piece big band, accompanying many Midlands/international artists, and his last UK tour was with the Ella Fitzgerald Celebration Show.
