The Delray Rockets - Rockabilly band
A Delray Rockets gig is a fully-live high-energy show, of great music and fun, with many twists and turns. The Delray Rockets are a 3 piece Rockabilly band based in The Midlands; their music has a 50's influence, but with a modern style, although not taking away the basic roots of the original sound. Featuring the talents of Gaz Le Bass on double bass, Dr Croc on guitar and J.D. Davies on drums.
The Delray Rockets comprises a group of renegades who've pushed Rockabilly to another level, revving it up a few gears from the Neo Rockabilly era of the 80s and have created a more modern, high-energy, hard-hitting 'in ya face' sound.
Each of the 3 members have musical influences across the decades from their teenage years, right the way through to modern day influences. This melting pot of styles created a form of music they describe as "Hi-Octane Rockabilly - liken it to the 'Hot Rodders' stripping down a classic, adding way more power, but still keeping all of the style".
